Superleague Championship Final 2024

The 2024 PV Gen sponsored Cork County Basketball Board Superleague Championship final between reigning champions UCC Demons and Irish Guide Dogs Ballincollig @MTU took place on Thursday September 26th at the MTU Arena. The game turned out to be a classic. Ballincollig lead by 24 to 22 after Q1. They still lead by 50 to 48 at halftime . No change at the end of q3 with Ronan o Sullivan leading the way Ballincollig still lead by 78 to 76. Demons came storming back and had a chance to win it in normal time but Elijah Tillmans last second shot just fell short. End of regulation saw the teams level at 97 pts each. Overtime saw a Sean Clancy inspired Demons take control to retain the title on a scoreline of  115 to 101. After the game Joe Garvin of PV GEN presented the trophies to both Teams. David Lehane Captain of UCC Demons was all smiles receiving the Cup from Joe and Sean Clancy who had 42pts on the night received the MVP Award
