2017 Basketball Ireland Green Shoots Programme
Green Shoots is a national programme run in conjunction with Basketball Ireland (BI) and BI Development Officers. The aim of the programme is to develop fundamental movement skills and implement a Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) plan for Basketball Ireland. The Green Shoots Programme will be a fun, enjoyable social activity for children and the skill level of each player will improve.
The Green Shoots Programme is for players born in the years 2007 and 2008. There are 30 places for girls and 30 places for boys on this phase of the programme. The cost of the Green Shoots programme is 25 euro per player for the 6 weeks.
The Green Shoots is a 6 week programme.
Dates: June 17th & 24th, July 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd
Times: Girls 10:00 – 12:00, Boys 12:00 – 14:00
Venue: All sessions will take place in the Parochial Hall.
Maximum of 5 participants per club for this phase of the programme.
Places will be secured on a first come, first served basis.
Each player receive one basketball, one Green Shoots playing bi and full Kappa Kit (Playing Top and Shorts).
