Latvian National Coach of Different Grades Mārtiņš Tīss Clinic
Cork County Basketball Board are delighted to have Mārtiņš Tīss from Latvia do a Coaching Clinic for us on Monday October 28th from 6pm to 8pm at Neptune Stadium . He is a basketball coach from Latvia. On a daily basis, he works with young people and is head coach of BS Tukums in Latvia. Tukums is located 60 km from the capital city of Latvia, Riga. In addition to his Club work , he has actively participated in the training processes of various Latvian national teams in recent years. He worked as a coach for the U14, U15, U16, U18, and Latvian men's national teams. Since 2022, he organized the largest basketball camp in Latvia – "Elite Basketball Camp." This project brings together leading coaches and top players from almost all basketball clubs in Latvia. He also worked on an individual basis with Kristaps Porziņģis of the Boston Celtics.
This Course is free to all Cork Coaches and costs €25 to all other Coaches but you must register before hand by emailing secretarycorkcountybb@gmail.com . 300 CPD Points will be available and this should be a great session for Coaches of all Standards Thank you to Mindaugas Vadeikis of Labanga for helping us to facilitate this.
